So, today, I was feeling really dysphoric and decided to experiment to see if I could find a way to flatten my airbags… This is what I’ve discovered.

I went out to the town centre with my mum and brother today and, as usual, we went into Sport Direct. (no promo)

While I was in there, I bought a couple of sports crop tops (see first pic) to wear as bras because I was told that they’re really comfortable and breathable.

Anyway, I’m a UK size 10/12 (depending on where I shop) and so I picked up a size 10, as I can always exchange for the next size up if need be. When I get home, I try one on and I was over the moon with the result!

Not only was the crop top comfortable and breathable, but the amount of compression it gave was amazing AND doesn’t show under a tank top except from under the arms, just like a real binder! (see second pic)

Now, I’m pretty large in the chest, (34D) so seeing how flat chested these crop tops made me look felt somewhat magical!

This is a great alternative to using a chest binder if you can’t afford one because they’re only £6.99 each, which makes them really accessible! They’re also really inconspicuous for trans people who live in a transphobic household because nobody would even give it a second thought!

Also, if you have an injury from binding and can’t wear a binder for a few days, this could possibly lay off the dysphoria!

I thought I would share this because this has the potential to save lives!

Admittedly, it may not work for everyone, but there’s no harm in trying! Also, don’t buy a size too small as it will just cup under your breasts and pull them up, making them look bigger.

You also need to make sure that they’re quite close so you underarms at the sides so that your boobs don’t fall out the sides!

Thank you! They also have full length sports bras that would be able to work as an alternative to a binder as well that...
